百媚导航 senior and Business Administration major, Jillian Gamage, was recently awarded one of six $2,000 Higher Education Assistance Foundation (HEAF) scholarships given to students majoring in business administration and management, finance, management, and small business management at Maine colleges and universities.
HEAF was established over 60 years ago by business leaders from a wide variety of industries including banking, small business, and community organizations. In 1990, HEAF initiated a scholarship program funded by the financial return on the original corpus of funds. The scholarship program is now managed by the Maine Bankers Association.
Colleges receiving HEAF grants this year are Saint Joseph鈥檚 College, University of Maine Farmington, University of Maine Fort Kent, University of Maine Machias, University of Maine Orono, and University of Maine Presque Isle.
Scholarship recipients are Teagan Hynes (York High School), Saint Joseph鈥檚 College; Jillian Gamage (Mt. Blue High School), University of Maine Farmington; Breanna Ouellete (Madawaska Middle/High School), University of Maine Fort Kent; Amber Kennedy (Ellsworth High School), University of Maine Machias; Carson Damon (South Portland High School), University of Maine Orono; and Chase McAllian (Belfast Area High School), University of Maine Presque Isle.
